Celebrating Ten Years!

2010 Tennessee Pollution Prevention Partnership Conference

September 23 & 24, 2010
Montgomery Bell State Park

The Tennessee Pollution Prevention Partnership (TP3) celebrates Ten Years. TP3 Members are planning for the fifth biennial statewide conference. For this important event, the Planning Team is soliciting program participation through a “Call for Papers/Presentations.”

The past two years have presented economic challenges for everyone. TP3 Members have met those “opportunities” with a variety of creative and innovative solutions.

Over the last ten years, we have seen the “Green” movement evolve from the progressive fringe, through catchy trend, to an integrated, mainstream way of living and doing business.

Through leadership and outreach activities, TP3 Members have been working to encourage, inspire, and assist others in developing and implementing ideas, policies, and practices to progress through the TP3 membership levels: Prospect to Pledge to Partner and Performer.

The general theme for this conference will be the relationships between good business and living practices with sustainability and pollution prevention ideals. You may have a project, story, or innovation to share with your peers and conference attendees. Or you may have a particular challenge or idea you would like to see explored and discussed.

Topics for the conference include

  • Renew-Reuse-Conserve; Living Lightly on the Earth
  • The New Green Economy and Sustainable Business
  • Changing to Meet New Challenges

The 2010 TP3 Conference Planning Team promises another excellent program for your benefit. Keynote and plenary speakers and panelists will present and discuss cutting edge topics, encourage action, and provide practical applications for all, with Take home messages and tools for putting ideas into action! You will hear from experts on green business issues, sustainability, and the role of personal responsibility. Leaders in TP3, TDEC and EPA’s P2 and Environmental Stewardship programs will enlighten us with their innovative success stories.

While you are at the conference, please take some time to enjoy the beauty of Montgomery Bell State Park, just 40 miles west of Nashville. You will find opportunities to hike, fish, golf, and learn about the flora, fauna, and history of the park area.
